Street Without Violence Plan: Carabineros carry out an anti-drug operation in the Vista Verde sector of Temuco

One detainee, the seizure of drugs and 3 weapons -which will be investigated whether or not they are adapted for firing conventional ammunition- were confiscated thanks to a citizen complaint.
In the framework of the Calle Sin Violencia Plan , Carabineros from the 2nd “Temuco” Police Station and OS-7 managed to arrest a subject with a police record and seize cocaine base paste and elaborated marijuana.
Thanks to an anonymous citizen complaint, to an address in the Vista Verde population in the commune of Temuco arrived the personnel of the Carabineros confirming that drugs were being sold in the place, for which a man with the initials E.V.F. with a record for the crimes of robbery with intimidation, reception, theft and micro-trafficking of drugs.
Commander Felipe Cerda, Commissioner of the 2nd Police Station “Temuco”, stressed that “the most important thing about this arrest is that it stems from a secure complaint, thus initiating a case in the local Prosecutor’s Office, obtaining a court order which Carabineros de Chile diligently enters this property located in Vista Verde and as a result of this entry is the detainee, base paste, marijuana, money , blank weapons with their respective ammunition”.
Regarding the 3 weapons, it will be investigated whether or not they are adapted for firing conventional ammunition, based on the analyzes carried out in Labocar de Carabineros.
The detainee , by instruction of the Prosecutor’s Office, was made available to the Temuco Guarantee Court for the hearing to control the arrest and formalization of charges. In this way, thanks to the work of the Carabineros and the Prosecutor’s Office, a point of micro-trafficking of drugs that kept residents of the Vista Verde sector worried and insecure was eradicated.
