The agreement includes the exchange of knowledge, implementation of investment projects, support in the design and implementation of policies, programs and projects on strategic issues, such as climate action, green finance and investment, clean mobility and transportation, sustainable use of natural resources.
Seoul, Korea.- On his first day of activities in South Korea, Governor Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to reinforce programs to support ecology in Nuevo León.
During his tour of Korea, the president met with representatives of the international intergovernmental body established in 2012 at the United Nations Rio+20 Conference on Sustainable Development, which will support the state with an investment of $15 million.* 100004*
After exposing his State Development Plan, based on three axes derived from the cabinets of Equality for all people, Sustainable Wealth Generation and Good Governance, García Sepúlveda stressed that the objective is a new green Nuevo León, sustainable for address the climate crisis.
This agreement formalizes the collaboration of the state government and the GGGI to promote policies, programs and projects within the scope of their powers aimed at promoting economic growth in the green State.
The agreement contemplates an exchange of knowledge and capacity building, the structuring and implementation of investment and bankable projects in strategic areas of interest and support in the design and implementation of departmental and local policies, programs and projects on strategic issues .
In addition, areas of collaboration such as climate action, green finance and investment, clean mobility and transportation, and sustainable use of natural resources are established.
This memorandum places special emphasis on decarbonization efforts with low carbon solutions for the industrial sector and the carbon price unit.
The agreement will remain in force until the end of the present government period, and may be renewed for up to a term of six years from the date of subscription.
MSMEs in Nuevo León:
