Fresnillo, Zac.- On the afternoon of Saturday, May 20, the spokesperson for the State Peace and Security Construction Board announced that a male person was deprived of liberty in the municipality of Fresnillo Zacatecas.
Later, the head of the General Secretariat of Government, Rodrigo Reyes Mugüerza, confirmed through his social networks. He also reported that there were three men, one of them identified as Pedro Avila Rodríguez, who unofficially is known to be the cousin of the governor of Zacatecas, David Monreal Ávila, as well as Senator Ricardo Monreal.
The event happened around 1:00 p.m., when it was reported through the 9-1-1 Emergency System. Derived from the mobilization of the Security Forces of the three orders of government, to try to recover the victims and arrest the criminals, metallic stars, known as tire strikers, were also reported on federal highway 45, which leads from Fresnillo to the capital of Zacatecas.
So far, no member of the Monreal Ávila family has issued any message, nor have the authorities provided more information. The latest information from the Spokesperson and the General Secretariat is that various operational actions will be maintained in the state territory so that no person who violates the law goes unpunished.
